The Roskell Academy offers regular courses, workshops and lessons, both in-person and online.

Lessons

Penelope is available to give consultation lessons to anyone seeking advice regarding injuries, physical tension, repertoire and applications to music colleges as well as preparing for diplomas, concerts or competitions. She will assess your playing and discuss possible ways forward in terms of technique, repertoire or career choices.  She may refer you to specific sections in her book ‘The Complete Pianist’, or suggest further lessons either with herself or a teacher who is qualified in teaching her method.  Pianists with injuries may be referred to the BAPAM pianists’ clinic.

Online Technique Workshops

Performance courses

The Roskell Academy advanced performance courses are suitable for pianists of Grade 8 level and above (unless otherwise stated).  The focus is on work on repertoire and related technical issues.  The London Advanced course culminates in an informal concert at the end of the course.

Performance courses outside London

Penelope is frequently invited to teach courses for other organisations. In 2021, these include performance courses at Finchcocks, Jackdaws, and Pianissimi. Click here for more information. Please book directly with the venues for these events.
